Lefthandedness: BBC Radio 4
Jacyntha Crawley has studied lefthandedness and biorhythms over many years
Here is the link to the best selling The Biorhythm Kit, page 26 amongst others have relevant information, but not all are in open book previews
and here is the extended explanation of her contact form to the Rutherford and Fry programme (which was limited to 500 words by the BBC)
(a) Lefthandedness in the child can be correlated to 3 high biorhythm cycles for the mother at the time of conception. The biorhythm patterns of the father did not seem to similarly correlate with lefthandedness in the child
(b) Jacyntha had advertised for information from lefthanded vegans when veganism was less mainstream and membership of the UK Vegan Society was under 2,000
The original enquiry for information had been for information relating to veganism in relation to tinnitus and diet. Biorhythm research and lefthandedness was a follow up project, and the replies suggested around 1 in 3.5 vegans were lefthanded from a sample of 22 replies to the follow up appeal for information
This would suggest it could be likely the number of vegan lefthanders is higher than the generally accepted 1:10 figure for the UK population, but Jacyntha realises the sample is just a small one!
